Loch March Golf Course Wedding: Courtney + Scott

We aren’t golfers. And by that I mean, I have literally never golfed at all. I think I swung my brother’s golf club in the backyard once … maybe. I’m not even 100% certain about that fact if I’m being honest. All of that to say, every time we hit up a golf course for a wedding Dave + I have relearn how to drive the carts as we swoosh around different spots for photos. Dave did all the driving for Courtney + Scott’s wedding day because I was having way too much fun watching Courtney hold onto the back of her cart! You see, there was simply too much dress for her to sit inside it – I suppose that is the one downside to a big poufy wedding dress, but I mean, she looked so darn stunning in it, I think it was worth it!

There were so many great moments during their wedding day, but one of my favourites has to be from the last shot of the night. We were setting up a night shot, complete with dip, in front of a beautiful door at the golf course and just as Scott perfectly dipped Courtney, and Dave was in just the right spot with the Icelight, one of the staff popped his head out the door. Oh my goodness, the timing was just too perfect and the moment too funny! Normally I wouldn’t include it in their gallery, and definitely not here on the blog, but it really was so funny, and Courtney + Scott asked me to keep it in, and the couple always gets what they ask for when it comes to photos.

Courtney + Scott really had planned such a beautiful day. Like so many couples the last two years, they had to plan, re-plan, and re-re-plan their wedding day and they were super smart the last time and hired a wedding planner to help them out. Alex from Baillie-David & Co. did such an amazing job all day long! She made our job a breeze, and helped us keep the couple relaxed and happy all day long, which is exactly what they two amazing people deserved! But it was the personal touches that the couple had included that really made it special.

Oh, just a note to future couples, if you are going to have your toddler son sign your marriage certificate, you better give me a heads up. Because not only did my heart melt into a pile of goo when Riley signed his parent’s certificate, but my eyes filled with tears and I am just darn lucky that I already had my settings and focus in place for that moment.

Thanks to all of these amazing vendors who helped make this wedding possible!
