I’m going back into the large backlog of sessions needing to be blogged and finally getting around to sharing Djuna’s amazing Sitter Session! This darling little girl is a fair bit bigger these days, but she’s just as cute today as she was when she was about 6 months old. Huge thanks to her moms for bringing her in and letting me put so many cute little outfits on her!
Sitter Sessions are quickly becoming some of my absolute favourites to photograph. One reason is that they are relatively quick. You see, 6 month olds don’t last that long in the studio, especially when you are changing their outfits and plopping them in different setups. And when a baby that age decides they are done, there really isn’t any coercing them into doing one more photo, haha!
But honestly, the main reason why I love these sessions so much, is that you really get a chance to see their personality shine. When I work with newborns, they are still learning so much, but by the time they come back for their sitter session, they have started growing into an actual person with a real personality. The laugh, giggle, smile and have preferences when what makes them do all those things.
And boy-oh-boy did Djuna ever have a personality! She was so spunky and curious. And with those giant eyes and crazy awesome eyebrows you could pretty much tell right away what when she was pleased or displeased. Djuna did such a great job as I tested out various outfits and headbands on her. The designs were brand new when we did her session and she was the cutest little guinea pig.
