Justine + Yannick actually had two wedding days and I have decided to split them into two different blog posts since they were not only held on different days, but also very different in style and approach. Plus there were a ton of images from both days so one blog post for it all would end up being extremely long!
Their official wedding day, the legal one that is, was held at City Hall and it was absolutely lovely! I met up with them and their families after they had their marriage ceremony at City Hall and everyone was of course super duper happy! We grabbed some family group photos there and of course some bride & groom photos there too since it is actually a really nice location, especially at that time of year. Seriously, how lucky are we to have an courthouse with this type of vine covered architecture next door. Plus such close access to the rest of downtown Ottawa.
Which is of course where we headed next. We made our way to Major Hill’s Park and did the rest of their photos there. And since I haven’t blogged their engagement session yet (mental note to come back and update this when I have, haha!), I will give you a heads up that these two are twirling pros!! I normally give my couples some direction beforehand and then a little bit of tips, etc. after they do it once. But Justine + Yannick needed very little guidance and are so photogenic when they twirl! So much so that we have been doing it basically every session I have been fortunate enough to capture for them.
But what I remember most from this day is how chill and happy everyone was. And honestly, that’s always been my favourite thing about capturing weddings, how happy everyone is and how much love is being thrown around for the wonderful couple.
