Marina + Keith have been planning their wedding day from all the way over in Alberta. They booked their wedding venue without stepping foot in it themselves, and did Zoom and phone meetings/consults with all of their vendors, myself included. I can’t imagine the additional stress the remote planning must have been causing them, but you really couldn’t tell any of that when we finally got to meet in person for their engagement session. They were so calm, chill and down-to-earth, and just a joy to be around.

I think every single citizen of Ottawa and the area knows just how cold it can be here. And despite the few super random warmer days Mother Nature has thrown at us this winter season, that cold weather has definitely put a damper on outdoor activities — well at least for me it has. I’m going to be completely honest here, I was so freaking nervous leading up to this family session. Not because I thought they would do poorly, or because I couldn’t think of interactions for them to do during their session. No, I was nervous because I know this family and I know just how shy and quiet Little Kane can be, and I was so worried that I wouldn’t be able to get a single smile out of him during the shoot. But I am oh so very happy to report that the entire family was full of smiles and giggles all session long!!
