It was super cold as we drove down the windy, dirt roads after Melanie + Michael’s wedding, but we still had the windows down. Why you might ask? Because I get car sick fairly easily on super winding, bumpy, hill-y roads and there was no other way to describe the route out from their quite remote wedding location.
Don’t get me wrong, it was stunning! So much so in fact, that I didn’t get too bothered on the drive up because I was so distracted by the gorgeous Fall colours. But it was getting dark on the way home, and I was very tired, so the nausea definitely set in and remained for almost the entire drive home. But it was a million per cent worth it to get to work among that beautiful nature, and with this amazingly sweet couple again!

Mariah + Benjamin’s day was pretty much a perfect day! From their stunning backyard ceremony to the incredibly heartwarming (and tear-jerking) moments during their reception, I honestly can’t think of a single thing that could possibly need changing, and that takes into consideration the fact that the bride took a wee tumble down a hill during family portraits (luckily she was neither hurt nor was her dress dirtied).
It seems so fitting that it is raining as I write this blog post as that was like an unofficial extra theme of Tarah + Derek’s wedding day. It was raining when we arrived at prep and it poured pretty much the rest of the day. But honestly, I don’t think anyone really cared. I mean, at the end of the day these two wonderful people were married and everyone had a great time – and really, isn’t that what really matters?!
Oh my goodness guys – Shannon + Erin’s wedding was freaking AMAZING!! Honestly, everything about it made me so deliriously happy! And it did so in the windchill-filled, -40 degree, winter weather, it was just that good!
