I absolutely love getting to catch up with our clients over the years. Watching them grow their families and progress in their lives is so amazing! And it is made even better by the fact that our clients truly are some of the best people out there.
I was so excited to get to work with Naomi + Adam again, and getting to see their adorable little girl, Evalyn again was just such a joy!

Getting to capture this big milestone in the life of Marie-France + Jonathan was already pretty sweet, but the addition of their new little one made the whole thing just that much better.
I first met Alyssa + David in a coffee shop halfway between our two homes. We chatted for a good long while about their plans. When they mentioned that they wanted to do their engagement session at a restaurant, I felt it was oh so fitting to keep with the cute indoor settings.
Valentine’s Day landed on a weekday this year and that resulted in Dave and I celebrating the holiday on the weekend rather than on the day itself. Although to be fair, we don’t really celebrate the holiday most years, as we really just have dinner at homeĀ and watch a movie or Netflix together, which sounds sweet and all, but it isn’t really any different than most nights. Anyway, the delayed celebration meant I was able to do something pretty darn special on Valentine’s Day with some incredibly amazing couples.
I head into most of my session with a couple poses or shots in mind, just in case my brain decides to go blank on me in the middle of things. Most of the time I capture those just so they are checked off, but the best shots tend to come from the inspiration I get from my clients. Christina, Marc + Emmett’s family session wasn’t really any different. I had a few backup shots going into things, but their fantastic personalities and Emmett’s absolute adorableness really did the rest in terms of inspiration (and of course, the fantastic light in their home really helped a ton too!).
