Last month I mentioned our very first publications and it was awesome! I have been spending quite a while submitting even more sessions to blogs and magazines in the hopes of sharing the beauty of my couples’ days with even more people. It has been a lot of work and is teaching me to get used to being told that my work wasn’t quite right, or that I was just a little too late as another similar session was already planned. But the few I have been told yes for made it all worth it (and a little tougher skin is probably a good thing in this business).
Seeing my work published has been a dream come true and apparently that dream is still going as we have been published in yet another magazine and more wedding blogs!!
We were first published in another magazine. This time the brand new Ottawa Bride Magazine (see top image). You can check out the digital copy of the magazine here. Not only were we featured here, but we had our first magazine ad in the inaugural issue!!
Shortly thereafter, Teri + Greg were first featured on the Westchester Wedding Planner Blog. The site did a feature on their “plugged” wedding as they had incorporated social media into their wedding by having their guests use the hashtag #gregteri when posting online throughout the day. It was really neat to see the posts go up during the day and even more fun the next morning when I got to sift through all of the posts from the reception!
Then Teri + Greg were featured on Beauty & Lifestyle Bride in their Real Weddings. To be honest, I missed this post when it first went up because I was heavily distracted with some other events we were working on at the time, but I caught it recently and absolutely love seeing their work amongst the other gorgeous weddings on this site!!
And in keeping with the Teri + Greg theme, the couple was next featured on The Wedding Opera. This was a really neat one for me as it is a local blog (well local to Toronto which is the general area of their wedding). This feature mentioned Teri + Greg’s hastag again, but focused more on the other aspects of their day including the venue (of course) and their save the date video.
Next came Ottawa Valley Weddings where Brittany + Aaron‘s engagement session was recently featured. Ottawa Valley Weddings is a fairly new blog to the area but, as the name implies, focuses solely on weddings and engagements from the Ottawa Valley area. I really loved seeing their session up on such a great new resource for local brides.
And finally, you may have seen our images and logo on the sponsors and contributors list for the Make-A-Wish Wine for Wishes event. It was such a fun night and we are so honoured to have been involved with this outstanding cause.
Wow, that was a long list!! All of these publications are just so amazing! I am truly humbled by the fact that the editors have found my work suitable for their blogs and magazines. And as I have said before, being involved with Make-A-Wish’s event was incredible and seeing our work on their site was the cherry on top of an already amazing sundae.
Another big thanks goes out to all of the wonderful couples whose sessions were chosen to be published, I couldn’t have done it without you guys and all of the other amazing vendors you chose for big days!!
