I often tell inquiring clients about the time we shot three weddings in one weekend, and it usually starts with how bad of an idea it was (because it was definitely not a good idea, that’s for sure!). We were absolutely exhausted after the first let alone the second, and come the morning of third I really wanted to throw in the towel and just stay in bed. Lucky for us, that third wedding was for two of the kindest, funniest souls out there and it was an absolute blast! Honestly, to this day Matt + T’s wedding day was one of the most fun times we have had at a wedding, and despite how completely and utterly worn out we were, I am still really happy with what we were able to capture it all for them (that was also when I learned that sparklers, lighters and very drunk people don’t really mix – or at least they probably shouldn’t). And as an even better bonus, we ended up gaining two new amazing friends in the process.
So of course, the idea of getting to capture this new stage in their lives together was so wonderful! It was actually such a great sounding idea that Dave even tagged along to the session, because who wouldn’t want to spend a couples hours walking around the greenhouses with these two awesome people?!
It’s pretty great when you find people as funny, warm and just plain awesome as Matt + T. It’s also great when things just seem to work out – like how when we were walking around we found an M+A in a heart written on one of the greenhouse windows. A quick addition of an equal sign and an arrow, and it was the perfect, corny photo for these two silly, kind-hearted people.
This session really was full of so much laughter and I am oh so very much looking forward to getting to work with them again when their little one arrives, because somehow I just know it will be complete shenanigans – again!
I think it is important to note here that because of how tired I am from the wedding show we have been a part of this weekend, Dave was going to help me write this blog post. Although his version was pretty much:
We met Matt + T at the place and shot their session. It was fun. We found an M+A on the window. Matt brought lots of outfits and made T change in the car. Matt makes T laugh a lot and that is cool. The End.
So yeah, in case you were wondering, this is why Dave doesn’t write the blog posts.
Although, I should give him points for having some good messages/themes there, so I guess there’s that.
