I have always loved names that worked for both boys and girls, so when I learned Baby Karsyn’s adorable name I was absolutely smitten with it. And of course, things only got better when this precious little one arrived at the studio!
That being said, she wasn’t all that pleased to be there at first. She fussed and despite being rocked and loved on, she refused to settle. But there’s no better cure for that than some love from Mom, and of course some food (followed by a rather explosively full diaper). And once all that was done, she decided that she actually liked having her photo taken and was a joy to work with for the rest of her session. In fact, she passed out hard when she was wrapped up. So much so that despite being resistant to any fiddling or changes beforehand, she was so sleepy this time around that she even let me change those tiny fists into little flat hands to show off adorably tiny fingers.
To be completely honest, I actually don’t mind when little babes make me work for it when they are in the studio. It gives me a sense of accomplishment when we actually do get them settled enough to take all these wonderful photos of them. That does of course presume that we are able to get them to settle, but so far so good *knock on wood*. And the nice benefit is that a lot of the time, we are able to grab some shots of them with their eyes open before they settle down. Which is exactly the case for Baby Karsyn who had to prettiest blue eyes!!
