It is always so special to have families return to us as their family grows up and grows larger. I had the pleasure of first working with the Roses just before the first pandemic shutdown back in March as their then youngest was turning one. I had such a super fun time hanging out with Tobias and his big sisters so when I learned that their family was expanding I was super pumped! And Baby Cedric definitely didn’t disappoint as he is just as darling and adorable as his older siblings!

All that being said, I was still very nervous for this session. Not particularly nervous for the photos of Cedric on his own, although he did end up making me work extra hard for those, but moreso for the sibling photos. You see, photos of young kids with their new baby brother or sister can be tricky at the best of times, but for these guys we had three older siblings to wrangle together. But Genevieve, Bianca, and Tobias were amazing! Yes they were full of energy and excitement, and they had to be asked a few times to stay in their spots, but honestly, it was nothing compared to what I was thinking may happen. They cooperated, made sure their baby didn’t fall and even looked at the camera! They actually even looked at the camera mostly at the same time, meaning the head and/or eye swapping needed afterwards in Photoshop was minimal which was super impressive considering they were all so young.

And even though his older siblings are super cute, each with their own unique personality and level of chattiness, Baby Cedric still managed to be the star of the show. He wasn’t super impressed with the whole concept of being posed and fiddled with, but with Mom’s help we managed to get him settled long enough to get some adorable photos of the newest member of this clan.
