I had the hardest time coming up with something to say for their sneak peek and I am once again struggling now that it is time for their blog post. But the struggle isn’t because there isn’t anything to say about Teresa + Travis’ engagement session, or that it wasn’t a good time. In fact, the struggle is because I just have so much to say that my little brain is overwhelmed with it all because this was a seriously amazing session with two of the most fun people ever!!
So I know I say that my sessions were great a lot. In fact, I am apparently a very lucky photographer as I can honestly say that about almost every session I get to do (and I only say almost here as I am certain there have been some not so great session even if I can’t for the life of me think of any, haha!). But Teresa + Travis’ engagement session was a freaking GREAT session!! I mean, we were laughing pretty much from the get go and genuinely having an amazing time tromping through the forest together.
Whenever I am at Monk Environmental Park, I always head to the little stream and bridge first. If not because it is super pretty then because it is the furthest I tend to to go along the path and it lets couple know roughly how much longer we have to shoot/walk before we wrap up the session. And it was no different this time around. The three of us met up and walked to the stream and got to shooting. And these two were instantly amazing in front of the camera! They said they hadn’t done a professional shoot before, but that can’t possibly be true! They were complete naturals in front of the camera together sitting into each pose so perfectly and then adding their own personality and flair to each one with barely any prompts. They had to be lying because they were just too good, haha!!
And, as an added bonus, none of us fell into the water (which I take as a huge success each and every time I am near water during a session).
Also, fellow photographers, if you find yourself waiting around for sunset with your couple, a bottle of Prosecco really helps the time fly by! And a I ever happy for that as the sunset was stunning this evening and well worth the wait. Although, honestly, I didn’t mind the wait at all because standing in a field by the side of the road was so lovely with these two because we literally just chatted the entire time. It was so easy and effortless that at the end of the shoot I think we said goodbye like 4 times because every time we did we started chatting again afterwards, haha! But eventually I managed to stop rambling and allow us all to make it to our cars and head home.
