Ottawa Fall Engagement Session at Lime Kiln Trail: Jessica + Adam

Lime Kiln Trail is almost always on my list of recommending locations whenever someone asks for a fall setting. And for good reason too, it has some great colour-filled trees and as an added bonus, lots of other areas and features to add diversity to a session. That being said, I tend to only want to shoot there once a season, so I also tend to hold onto to it for just the right couple, and I knew Jessica + Adam were perfect for the spot, and it for them!

That being said, I am always a little nervous when it comes to locations that I have suggested. I mean, what if it doesn’t work out because either the couple doesn’t see the same things I do, or the conditions aren’t what they were in the past. ⁠ Luckily though, Lime Kiln Trail has never let me down and always pans out! It may have been a little muddier than anticipated, but those leaves made the long, muddy walk oh so very worth it!! And Jessica + Adam made the walk absolutely delightful, despite the slightly dreary weather we had.

And as proof that I loved hanging out with them, I didn’t mind for one second when I ‘had’ to lie down in the muddy, leafy ground to get the perfect crystal ball shot for them! I mean, I wouldn’t lie down in the dirt for just anyone after all. Strolling through the woods, twirling under the fall leaves and of course, a few fun shots with matchy-matchy outfits, this really was the quintessential fall session, although it was a little muggier than I think any of us would have liked, especially those of us who were in fall attire. Fingers crossed that less than ideal weather now means they will be rewarded with awesome weather for their wedding day next year!
