Sometimes babies just know you have specific plans in mind when it comes to their session and they decide they will do everything they can to squash those plans. That is exactly what Little Baby Myla did for her session. We had a great idea to replicate her big sister’s RCMP photo from her newborn session but with a slightly different spin to give each girl their own style. But Myla was having none of it, and that’s okay.
We managed to get a couple unwrapped photos before she decided she was done with it, but a swaddled session really was the perfect choice for this little babe as she was not having any unwrapped poses whatsoever. Fortunately other than those RCMP photos we had in mind, Myla’s session was planned to be wrapped, and even more fortunately, she was quite content once she was a sweet little potato.
The backup plans for the RCMP photos worked a treat and she was so incredibly cute in her various wrapped photos. And big sister Kinsley was absolute perfection not only for her portion of the photos, but also throughout the waiting period of the session too. She was so patient and quiet, although she did warm up to me by the end of the session and her chatty personality started to shine through.
I love getting to work with our previous wedding clients as it really is an honour to be able to capture their milestones as they progress through life. And getting to get Mike and his ladies in front of the camera again was definitely a special treat and a great way to spend a morning.
