Ottawa Wedding + Newborn Photographers who know what's it like to be awkward in front of the camera
How is it already the end of February!?! I mean, I feel like the new year just started and yet somehow we are already two months in — it’s crazy.
I mention this because I am oh so very behind on blog posts it’s not even funny. Luckily though, sessions have been going out on time so Isha and her wonderful family have had their photos for a while now. But I am finally getting around to sharing them with all of you, lucky ducks!
So, Mother Nature was kind of uncooperative for a couple weekends in October. Which of course meant we had to reschedule this session because of the rain. I think we were all a little nervous and worried that due to the delays we would miss the great fall colours, but luckily for all of us that definitely didn’t happen as their backyard was still stunning! Seriously, this place looked like it was plucked straight of a magazine! But what was even better than that was this adorable family, particularly sweet Little Archer!

I love doing sessions for people we actually know outside of our business life (aka friends). Not only is it an extra way I get to hang out with awesome people, but it also means the sessions are just so easy breezy. And in the case of Jessica + Jason, and their adorable little one Lena, it also meant that Kaylee got a play date with her boyfriend Gus.

This little dude did not want to stop moving for an instant during his latest session. In fact, Zachary was running around in every which direction that I ended up with way more steps on my watch than I normally do for a family session, haha!
And yet, despite how much he was running and playing, he always seemed to be going the opposite way I need him to go. But I suppose that is what toddlers do best really.

Sometimes I show up to my clients home for their lifestyle session and am instantly greeted by a cheerful toddler who wants to tell me anything and everything they can think of. Other times they want nothing to do with me and I have to pull out all my tricks right away to get them involved in the session. Luckily for all of us adults, Maya was definitely on that first team and ready to go for Baby Hayden’s newborn session.
