I cannot even begin to properly explain just how perfect Diana + John’s wedding day was as the start of our 2018 season. From being at one of our favourite venues to all the beautiful and personal details so perfectly infused throughout everything, it was truly lovely. But as usual, what that made this wedding day so great weren’t the actual things, but rather the people. Not only are Diana + John so incredibly nice (and funny to boot), but they are absolutely one of the sweetest couples we have had the pleasure and honour of working with over the years and they surrounded themselves with family and friends who are equally as wonderful!

Whenever Dave and I have to write something sentimental as a couple it always goes the same way: I write down some general ideas in jot note form and then Dave improves on it. I get down the main points I think we should get across and any critical details that have to be included. I normally take a pass at writing a few sentences, maybe even an entire paragraph, but once that is done Dave takes all of my thoughts, adds his own and then turns it into an actual written (or spoken) piece and it ends up being beautiful. There are normally some changes on my end, particularly if it is supposed to sound like me and not him, but he is definitely the one that makes it actually sound great. You see, although I can write pretty well (or at least well enough), Dave can write beautifully from the heart. He has a way with that sort of thing whereas I can sometimes struggle with getting my point across.
A couple years ago Dave and I were a part of way too many wedding shows. Seriously, it was utterly exhausting and for the last couple shows we were in, we weren’t able to take full advantage of them because we were pretty booked up already. When I showed up at the Arc Hotel to start Jenn’s bridal prep I walked into a room of cool, calm and collected ladies (and one of the cutest flowergirls ever, who let me know exactly who her mommy was and that I was not to steal her). They were all just so relaxed and positive, it was an absolutely joy to be around. Mix that with the absolutely stunning details Jenn had set aside for me (look at those shoes!!!) and it was definitely the absolute best way to start a wedding day.
