It’s always interesting meeting up with new parents for their newborn session. They range in comfort (with not only the session, but also with their newborn), how much time they have had to get to know their individual little quirks and personality, how clean the nursery is (because let’s be honest, having a newborn is hard and cleaning often comes second, or third, or like, ninth), and so many other factors.
To be honest, a lot of these ranges are often due to how old the little one is when we do the session, with obviously the older they are the more comfortable and knowledgeable the parents are (and sometimes this correlates to how much time they have to tidy things up), and some of these are of course affected by the fact that they are having photos taken and their normal routine is being juggled a bit.
From all my experiences with Lisa so far, she seems like a pretty calm person (I am sure one of her besties is just bursting with laughter right now at the thought of this), and that is how she was during Brantley’s entire session. She wasn’t phased in the least when he was a little fussy because he was still hungry, or when he was down right upset about being naked. She is a downright natural when it comes to her little boy and it was awesome. Brantley was also a superstar during the session and was so wonderfully sleepy (once he was dressed) and so very mold-able!
