The snow seems to finally be gone now (well mostly) and even though I am glad to see the first signs of Spring popping up around the neighbourhood, I absolutely loved getting to capture one last portrait session with the gorgeous winter backdrop.
And the session was made even better by the fact that I got to reconnect with one of our absolutely wonderful 2016 wedding couples.
Marie-France + Jonathan were such troopers when it came to this session. It was fairly warm out (considering the season) so that was definitely a plus, but a big batch of snow had just hit the area and that meant that walking around the trails was a bit more of a workout than I had originally intended. And although I hit the ground a couple times (I’ve never claimed to be graceful whatsoever), neither Marie-France nor Jonathan did, so I am putting that in the win column for sure.
Also in that win column is how great it was to work with these two again. They are so adorable together and I absolutely love seeing them transition into their future role of parents. The second I saw them you could see how incredibly happy they are, and to make that even better, pregnancy really does look so wonderful on Marie-France. I can’t wait to meet their little one when she decides to make her grand entrance into the world.
As an extra little side note, Marie-France + Jonathan had brought hockey jerseys along to include in their engagement session when we captured that for them back in 2015 and I was so in love with the fact that they not only brought along jerseys again for their maternity session, but they had custom ones created to better tell their love story. How cute (and awesome) is that?!
