“It is a love based of giving and receiving as well as having and sharing. And the love that they give and have is shared and received. And through this having and giving and sharing and receiving, we too can share and love and have…and receive.”
Dave and I have been waiting so long for someone to quote Joey Tribbiani as part of their wedding day speech and Maid of Honour Kaitlin finally made our day!! Not only did Christine + John’s wedding day have some classic speeches, but these wonderfully sweet people were an absolutely joy to work with again. And despite the heat and humidity, everyone had such a great time all day long!
The fantastic speech was far from the only great thing about this wedding day. Another of my favourite moments was during the signing as part of the ceremony, when the bride’s young niece decided that her title of junior bridesmaid was too long and she was now the junior bride and therefore should be signing the paperwork as well. Her mom quietly explained the situation to her and all was fine after a little bit, but hearing her modify her title was just about the funniest thing I had heard that day!
All in all, this was an absolutely heavenly wedding day. The weather was beautiful (well beautiful to look at as it was actually stinking hot in the sun), the grounds were stunning as usual, and the company couldn’t have been better. Christine + John were just as much of a pleasure to work with on their wedding day as they were back in the Fall when we captured their engagement session. I am so happy we got to be a part of their wedding day and even happier to be able to share these wonderful images.
Side note, during bridal prep I got a text message from Dave who was covering groom prep at their home that simply said ‘Also they have a pug and his name is Otis and he is adorable’. Later on I got a look at the above photo of Otis, and I must say, with his adorable bow-tie and his tongue that is seemingly never completely in his mouth, Dave was definitely right!
I also got a look at the Save the Date cards that Christine + John created using one of their engagement photos as the base, and I must say, I absolutely love the design!
Huge thanks to all of the amazing vendors who made this day so beautiful.
