Orchard View Wedding: Casandra + Alex

Orchard-View-Wedding-Ottawa-Stephanie-Beach-Photography We have had many couples who ended up getting married after meeting online, but I think Casandra + Alex may be the first who specifically met while playing video games online. So with that in mind, and the fact that the are active gamers to this day (and went to school in the industry), it makes perfect sense that their wedding day was themed around their favourite past time.

For me, themes should either be full or a touch more subtle. And Cas + Alex had their wedding day fit wonderfully into that second category. Their card box was a hollowed out XBox and their table centrepieces were handmade wooden logos from their favourite games. The head table was of course Halo, and I was pretty happy to see that we were at the Mass Effect table as Dave has spent many hours playing this one (and I really liked watching him play through the story). Their purple and green wedding colours were on theme while still looking great on everyone. It really as a theme done well!

But enough about all of that, like many of our weddings, the best parts of the day had nothing to do with the colours or decor, but rather with the people. The wedding party were so much fun and really made the photos super easy for Dave and I. And of course the couple themselves were amazing. Cas + Alex are kind and thought, and absolutely hilarious to boot! Their engagement session was effortless so I knew their wedding day portraits were going to be a breeze and they definitely were. These two are complete naturals in front of the camera so they rocked their photos!

Cas + Alex opted for a smaller guest list which meant that everyone there was completely over the moon for these two lovebirds and it was so great to see the outpouring of love and support as everyone celebrated the night away.
