I honestly don’t even know where to start when describing Sarah + Isabelle’s wedding day because literally every thing about it was a complete and utter knockout! The decor, the vendors, the view, the people, the shenanigans and, because it deserves to be mentioned at least twice, the people! Seriously even with all the amazing things that this wedding had, the people were what made it so indescribably amazing. From the wedding party to the families everyone was so sweet and helpful and full of so much love for this wonderful couple.
From the second I first chatted with Sarah + Izzy I knew they were special and this has been proven to me time and time again as we prepped for their wedding day. Their engagement session has gone down in the books as one of my all-time favourites as not only did the photos work out perfectly, but getting to walk around the Byward Market with these two ladies was just about the best way to spend an evening. And seeing them again on their wedding day and getting to be part of their day was such an honour. It always warms my heart so much to see the family and friends witness two of their loved ones joining together on their wedding day, but Sarah + Izzy’s day in particular really got to me, and I found myself laughing and crying right along with everyone.
And of course I couldn’t put together this blog post without going into a bit more detail about all these stunning details! The ladies had put together such an amazing team of vendors and there was no element that was given so much thought and care. I was capturing some of Sarah’s bridal details when I heard a scream of delight as her bouquet was dropped off and that pretty much summed up every instance throughout the day that Sarah + Izzy got to see just how beautifully all their planning had come together.
But despite all the beauty, my favourite moments were definitely all the shenanigans that this wedding party created! From the very moment we arrived for prep everyone was having a blast and making sure Sarah + Izzy were well taken care of. And once all the official business had been done, they went right to making sure everyone was having the time of their lives! And although I didn’t understand everything that was being said during the speeches (they were all in French so I only caught the keywords), they were still the absolute funniest (and wackiest) I have ever seen! I mean, it’s not every wedding where the bridesmaids walk in as cowboys and the bridesman comes out wearing only a strategically placed leaf!!
Without a doubt, Dave and I will be remembering Sarah + Isabelle’s wedding day for the rest of our careers. I am so happy that these two kind, compassionate souls found each other and we of course wish them nothing but absolute happiness in their lives together.
Thanks to all of these amazing vendors who helped make this wedding possible!
