Sweet Little Hailey was the first newborn in the studio after the December 2020 to February 2021 lockdown. And I truly believe she knew that, and even more, she knew how badly I needed a really great session as a reward for waiting and worrying so long while I wasn’t able to work.
I honestly wasn’t too worried about the business, no, I was worried about all the moms who had maternity sessions but were going to give birth before we got a chance to capture their baby bumps, and all the little ones who were going to be born without being able to get into the studio in the optimal time (although there isn’t really an optimal time, but we’ll get into that another time).
But thankfully this adorable little one arrived at the perfect time to make it into the studio for her swaddled newborn session – yay! And I loved getting to catch up with new Mom Jennifer too! It is always so special when our wedding couples come back to us when they start their families and it is so wonderful to get to see them transition into their new roles as parents.
As I said before, Baby Hailey was so good during her session. Seriously, she really only unsettled right at the end of her session, and it seemed like she was just hungry as she calmed down after a little snack. And who could blame her for working up a hunger, I mean, she worked so hard in front of the camera the whole time and was so darling too!
