Perth Wedding at Temple’s Country Weddings: Marisca + Seth

I was so excited to be heading to Temple’s for our first 2021 wedding there. Not only because I just generally love this venue (and all the amazing people there) and we hadn’t been there in way too long (thanks covid), but also because I was so excited to get to capture Marisca + Seth’s wedding day! As I learned during their engagement session, these two are literally the cutest ever and I just knew that, no matter the weather, their wedding day was going to be full of so much love and laughter!

And I was definitely right! The day may have started off full of gloomy clouds and rain, but thankfully the skies cleared and we were able to still do the vast majority of their photos outdoors. They did opt to keep their ceremony indoors though to avoid their guests getting a sudden downpour midway (they are just so thoughtful like that).

There were so many personal details throughout their wedding day, but I think one of my absolute favourites was how Marisca incorporated her mom’s hair into multiple elements. A lot of brides take their mom’s veil or hair piece and reuse it in some manner ranging from parts of their bouquet to a new hair piece and beyond. Even I used the lace that adorned the edge of my mom’s veil as a wrapping for my bouquet. But Marisca went beyond that. Her mom’s vintage 1991 (ouch, it hurts that things from the 90s are vintage now) was made into not only Marisca’s hair piece, but also one for both of her bridesmaids and her mom. It was even fashioned into bouquet elements for the bride. It was such a sweet way to include that something old element into everyone’s day, not just the bride’s.

But as much as that was my favourite physical personal touch, my favourite moment that Marisca + Seth created was the Zoom call for their friends + family who couldn’t join them on the day. Now, you may be thinking that a Zoom call on the wedding day is pretty status quo these days, but this was different as it not only included a call full of well wishes for the happy couple, but also a suuuuper fun and interactive Escape Room for the kiddos to take part in. Everyone took part in puzzles, trivia questions and even a dance contest to help the couple find their wedding rings and it really was such a great time!

Thanks to all of these amazing vendors who helped make this wedding possible!
