Okay, I’m not going to lie, I was so incredibly nervous leading up to Josie’s newborn session, and honestly, it wasn’t even because of Josie. You see her Big Sister isn’t that big as these wonderfully sweet parents have two little ones under two. Which essentially meant I was going to be doing sibling photos with a very young older sibling, eek! But not only did Big Sister Avery rock her time in front of the camera (oh my goodness guys – she was utter perfection!!), but Baby Josie did wonderfully too!
I mean, Josie did make me work for it, and there were a few times when I wasn’t so happy with the fact that she tossed herself out of a pose, but I mean, that’s newborn photography for you. You never know if a little one is going to be sleepy or awake or somewhere in between. Also, in Josie’s defense, it is sometimes tricky for wee babes to get through all their family photos and then still be sleepy when it comes time for their solo photos, especially is they got all wrapped up for their sibling photos. And yes, wrapping this babe was essential for Big Sister Avery to be able to hold her so adorably!
Even though Baby Josie made me work extra hard for her photos, she still did on so very well and even managed to give me some great little smiles and funny faces. And honestly, those little smiles really make all the hard work oh so very worth it!
