We have been offering Lifestyle Family Sessions for almost as long as we have been capturing weddings, but this past year we opened up the Newborn + Family Studio and I have loved every second of it! Being able to offer both styles to our families is so awesome.
I got to work with so many wonderful families and little ones in 2019 and getting to be part of all of these precious moments is really special to me. So much so that I have decided to add a new end-of-year post to celebrate all these adorable little babes + families. Hold onto your hats everyone, because this post is an absolute cuteness overload!
The drive out to their new home was definitely a long one, in fact, it was the longest I have driven for a newborn session (to date at least), but it gave me a lot of time to think. And although I spent an equal sized portion of the drive singing along to some great songs, I also ended up reminiscing about all the wonderful sessions I have been lucky enough to capture for Chantal + Mathieu. During their engagement session and then their wedding I quickly learned just how amazingly kind these two people are. And getting to meet the new tiny person they created was definitely a highlight of my Fall season!
Courteney + Steve’s wedding day last year was such a beautiful day and we loved getting to capture it all for them, so when she reached out to me to let me know that they were expecting a new addition to their family, I was so incredibly excited! Not only because I would be able to capture the start of this new adventure for them, but also because I just knew their little guy was going to be wonderfully adorable!!
A year ago today, Dave and I became godparents to the sweetest little girl!
Evelyn is happy and cheery pretty much all of the time and it is next to impossible to not feel the same way when you are with her. She is definitely a little chatter box and when we spent last weekend with her and her brother I spent most of the weekend listening to her babble, helping her walk (a brand new skill she has) and clapping with her and she currently loves clapping.
It was shortly after I got my driver’s license that I realized just how small a town I lived in. Don’t get me wrong, it was a great place to grow up and is still a wonderful town, but as a teenager, it was small, very small. There wasn’t much to do during the evenings where my friends and I managed to tear ourselves away from whatever basement we were watching movies in, we would end up driving around more or less aimlessly. We would often end up driving near the waterfront in Brockville and then either driving or walking along the Boardwalk. I am not sure why we always ended up there, but we did. So when Jenn + Donny mentioned Hardy Park for their engagement session I was definitely up for it!
