Wow, where do I even start with this darling little one?! I mean, seriously, Cigi has been my amazing little model since she first came in for her newborn session. She rocked so many backgrounds, headbands, and outfits that I have used her photos time and time again for both my photography business and Prop Shoppe business. In fact, she modeled our number one seller over on the prop shoppe and I definitely think it’s success is partially thanks to her!!Continue reading “Ottawa Milestone Sitter Photography Session: Cigi”
There have been so many times where I am driving home from a wedding or session and even though it was a gorgeous day, and we got so many amazing photos that I am super excited to get o work on, I get that FOMO when I looked in my rearview mirror and see a stunning sunset in the sky. So, with that in mind, we waited for 20+ minutes at the end of this session to make sure we had taken sunset photos at the peak colour moment for Mara + Patrick’s session!Continue reading “Ottawa Major’s Hill Park Wedding Day Portraits: Mara + Patrick”
Family sessions with little ones can sometimes be a little nerve-wracking for parents. Worrying about whether or not their tiny humans are going to cooperate and have fun during the session, or just have a tantrum. And then if the latter does happen, will they just be done for the entire session, or will they be consolable and come back around? It’s definitely stressful and can make any parent a little anxious. Luckily though, I’m pretty darn good with kids and babies and toddlers tend to like me (fingers crossed that I am not jinxing myself for my upcoming toddler-filled sessions). And that means I am normally able to comfort little ones and make sure they have a great time during their session. And hey, when all else fails, there is always good old fashion bribery (and there’s nothing wrong with that)!
So with all of that said, it didn’t surprise me when little Owen turned out to not be a really big fan of being told what to do during the McNally’s family session.Continue reading “Beach & Forest Lifestyle Family Session: The McNally’s”
If I’m being honest, I wasn’t feeling great heading to Julie + Shenfield’s wedding (don’t worry it wasn’t anything I could pass along). So much so in fact, that I brought Dave along even though he wasn’t booked for the wedding coverage. He came as backup to help carry my gear and in case I couldn’t shoot to my normal quality. Fortunately he wasn’t needed for anything other than being a pack mule, but I of course took advantage of him being there when it came to veil tosses, multi-tasking shots, and those wonderful candid images. I mean, why wouldn’t I, he was there and he is so darn good at it!Continue reading “Ottawa Intimate Backyard Wedding: Julie + Shenfield”
Little Baby Jonathan got a bunch of brand new outfits just for his session. In fact, I was finishing up multiple items late into the evening before his shoot. But the late night and extra sewing was oh so very worth it as this teeny dude was so darn cute and such a trooper during his session!Continue reading “Ottawa Studio Newborn Photography: Jonathan”
