From the moment the pandemic hit our area and shut down business and weddings, Tanya + Scott knew they wanted to keep their wedding date just as it was. They didn’t want to wait another year to get married even if it meant a tiny elopement. Tanya let me know this right from the first email I sent out all of our clients, letting them know their options with us and all that jazz. Ottawa had a really weird Fall season this year. The leaves took their time arriving and when they did they really didn’t last long. Or rather, they didn’t last long on their own as they were quickly joined by a decent layer of snow everywhere. I forget who I heard this phrase from, but it was like having two seasons in one. It worked out really well for the look of photos, but it definitely made Fall photos a fair bit colder than they have been in past years. I remember looking up some sort of wedding photographer membership when I first started my business. It required you to have shot a minimum of 50 weddings with a suggested number of at least 100 weddings. I saw those numbers and thought well that is impossible! There is no way 100 couples will ask me to photograph their wedding. Well guys, despite my pessimism back then, it actually happened! And even better than that, Sarah + Paul got to be couple #100 with their amazing Lord of the Rings themed wedding day!
