A lot of brides use their wedding bouquet to help commemorate a loved one who isn’t around anymore, or to cherish a special moment or item. I myself used part of my mom’s wedding veil as the wrap of my bouquet and we have seen many other brides who have used a necklace, photo locket or other such item as part of their bouquet to highlight someone near and dear to them. But Mary’s wedding bouquet has to be one of the sweetest and most thoughtful ones we have photographed yet as it was literally made from notes the bride received from her mom over the years.

Normally when the forecast calls for stormy weather on a wedding day I am more than a little nervous. Not only because of the impact it has on the photos we are able to take (as it changes the look of the images, although we can still create some really awesome things with the rain), but also because of how it will impact the couple themselves and likely even stress them out (which is not only bad for the photos, but for their overall enjoyment of their wedding day). But honestly, when I looked at the forecast for Sabrina + Jeff’s day and saw all the rain and potential storms, I wasn’t phased one bit.
It was an absolutely stunning wedding day and not because the weather was particularly nice (although the rain did hold off well enough) and not even because of the locations (although they were quite lovely), no it was a stunning wedding day because of the couple themselves. Chantal + Mathieu are just the sweetest, most thoughtful people and because of this, their wedding day was full of beauty, memorable moments and most of all, it was full of love.
With only a small handful of weddings left this year, Dave and I are officially heading towards the end of our 2017 season. And as always I am both looking forward to the break for a little while (and the chance to catch up on some admin tasks during the off-season), and sad that we won’t be capturing wedding days most weekends (at least not for a couple months). But all of that is for a later date, as we still have a few couples left this month and boy-oh-boy are they ever great couples with absolutely stunning wedding days planned!!
