Ottawa Arboretum First Year Portraits + Cake Smash: Ava

Darling Little Ava was just about the cutest little one ever during her cake smash! It took her a second to warm up to the camera, but when she did she brought every ounce of adorable to the shoot! And I mean, that neutral little onesie with her sandals and perfect little hair clip, I mean, come on, too cute!

But what was even better than her mom’s picture perfect styling was the warmth this family has and how much Mom + Dad’s love for their little sweetheart popped on camera … and that cheeky little smile of Ava’s is also pretty amazing, right?!

We snuck this session in right before a torrential downpour – literally! The clouds started rolling in and the sky got super dark, so we started packing things up. We wrapped things up with raindrops dripping on us, and as we got up to the parking lot, all the rain came pouring down! And even though, my clothes were pretty drenched, it was a million per cent worth it as it was so much fun to get to catch up with Kristina, Joel, and, of course, the birthday boy himself, Zachary!

Lifestyle Newborn Session: Maxime + Cedric

Okay, so, remember the post from yesterday where I asked which was better, a family with three kiddos with twins as your first pregnancy, or twins as your second? Well, here’s the interesting thing (from my perspective at least), I got to see both sides of it within just a few days of one another. I had a session with toddlers twins and their newborn sister, promptly followed up with adorable Big Sister Mila who was more than happy to show off her new baby brothers, Maxime + Cedric. And although I still don’t know which is the better situation, I can tell you wrangling one toddler was definitely easier than wrangling two, haha!

Ottawa Winter Maternity Session: Kirsten + Kyle

So I realized this morning that I forgot to share Kirsten + Kyle’s maternity photos. How did I end up remembering you ask? Well, I thought about it while I was setting up the studio for they baby’s newborn session, haha!

I don’t know how I could have possibly forgot about it, as this session was truly epic! Although, really, by this point I should just know that these guys are the ultimate rock stars and just so all-around amazing, especially in front of the camera.
