Oh my goodness, how could I have possibly forgotten to post this wonderful session with Henry and is awesome parents, Emma + Scott?! I knew I had issued it to them before hitting publish on this post as I was just so swamped with editing that I didn’t have time to wrap up blogging at the time (and of course didn’t want them to have to wait while I got my writing inspiration), but I didn’t realize just how long it had been since I actually finished this up. Well, long story short, I am (finally) sharing this wonderful lifestyle session and that is what really matters … right?!

Ottawa Studio Newborn Session: Maggie
The most recent lockdown was extra hard for me (as I am sure it was for most people). I hated being closed again and for so long, and I really hated watching online as so many SBFamilies had their new babies and weren’t able to bring them in for their session.
Luckily though, I have become pretty good at working with much ‘older’ babies over the last year and a half, so when Baby Maggie was finally able to come in for her newborn photos, we were still able to get some truly adorable images!

In case you are new around here, I am 100% a dog person. I smile anytime I see a puppy walking down the road and pretty much always say hello to them before the human walking the dog, and of course I smile from ear to ear when I see a dog with their head out the car window. Our own pup, Kaylee, brings so much light and joy to our lives and is the real star of our social media feeds.
So when Miranda + Jason wanted to use their session for some updated family photos of them and their pups, I was pretty darn stoked!

When we were planning this session Mariah + I were trying to come up with a location where we could do both Family photos and Little Milo’s cake smash photos all while not having either of her boys get too distracted by the surroundings. And I have come to realize that this is actually a pretty tricky task. Anything that would be fun for candid family photos later on in a session, would likely result in distraught kiddos before that point. Luckily though, they still had access to the unbelievably gorgeous private farm that we used for Milo’s newborn session last year.

How on earth has an entire year already passed since Baby Alice first came into the studio?! I mean, it literally feels like her newborn session was yesterday and somehow, she has already been promoted from Baby Alice to Little Alice because she is one year old and just joined me for her milestone and cake smash session!
I think that’s something I need to get used to with the studio being open for over two years now, just that babies don’t stay babies for long and they get so big so fast!
