Marie-France + Jonathan were one of our absolutely amazing 2016 wedding couples. Their wedding day was beautiful and was, without a doubt, an absolute blast for everyone – including us! And right after they got their wedding photos, they let me know that I would hopefully be hearing from them in the next year or so as they started their family – and less than a year later, that’s exactly what happened!
It has been such a treat getting to see these two grow together and an honour to be able to capture all of these happy milestones in their life together. It really all started with their engagement session at Upper Canada Village, where we had to escape out of the park as we ended up getting locked in. A few bruises later from climbing/jumping fences and we had gorgeous images, and a funny story to boot. Their wedding day was truly lovely, we shot their portraits in record time, and again we came out with great images. And I am happy to say that their maternity session is continuing to follow that trend – beautiful photos mixed with a little story. This time it again revolves around my general clumsiness (as the bruises from the engagement session were really due to my ineptitude at hopping fences) as I fell not once, but twice during the snowy session. Fortunately for me, the fresh snow made for a very soft landing and this time around I escaped without any bruises (you have to take small victories when you can and laugh at yourself when you look like a fool). And more importantly, this time around Marie-France was in perfect shape at the end of the session – she is carrying precious cargo after-all.
I was so happy to hear from these two and about their happy news. Everything about this session was such a breeze. Their easy-going nature as we decided on a location for the shoot and of course, their naturalness in front of the camera, it was all so effortless. They really have become absolute pros at this! I am so excited to share more of their maternity session soon and even more so to meet their little one!
